Green Pepper (alla prima)

Most of my paintings are done in several layers. After one layer dries, another is applied using a transparent color. I thought that I’d try to paint this green pepper alla prima, that is, in one sitting, applying wet paint into wet paint. I was pleased with the outcome. I hope you are, too.

A whole green pepper freshly washed with water drops still visible resting on a whitish dishcloth. The pepper is set against a mottled reddish-brownish background.
